Budget Everest base camp trek

Budget Everest base camp trek refers to normal trekking with common tea houses for accommodation. It is 14 days trekking that includes two days for arrival and departure, and one day for departing from Lukla to Kathmandu. This is budget friendly trek with guide and porter. 

Luxury Everest base camp trek 

Luxury Everest base camp trek refers to advanced trekking with luxury accommodation. It is 17 days trekking that includes 1 day for Kathmandu sightseeing, two days for arrival and departure from Nepal. This is costly trek with guide and porter.

Difference between budget and Luxury EBC trek

There are some differences between budget and luxury trek to Everest base camp. The major differences are listed in Table 1.

Accommodation:

The accommodation in budget trek to Everest base camp includes normal tea houses containing clean twin rooms. We may have to adjust in common rooms during peak season.

Tea houses for Everest base camp budget trek

The accommodation is most significant in the luxury trek to Everest base camp. You will get luxury accommodation in Kathmandu and Everest region. We will provide five-star hotel in Kathmandu and luxury hotel in Everest region. You can get attached room with twin bed in Phakding, Namche Tengboche and Dingboche. We cannot get attached room in Lobuche and Gorekshep due to unavailability of luxury rooms. 

Food

Food in the budget trek to Everest base camp contains three meals, i.e. breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can enjoy local food, western food and Nepali food but can choose only one item. The common available food in the Everest region for breakfast are tea/coffee, bread, omlet, boiled egg, curry, porridge, pasta.  Food available for lunch and dinner are Nepali thali (rice, curry, pickle, lentils pappad), mo:mo, Sphagette, chowmein and pasta. 

In Luxury Everest base camp trek you can get A  la carte menu to choose food during the trek. 

Duration

The duration of budget trek to Everest base camp is 14 days on which we should walk for 11 days only. The trekking begins from Lukla and continues to Phakding, Namche and rest for acclimatization in Namche. Further, the trekking continues to Tengboche, Dingboche and trekkkers will rest in Dingboche for acclimatization. The trekking continues to Lobuche, Gorekshep, Pheriche, Namche and Lukla. Here each destination represents the accomodation sites. 

The duration of Luxury Everest base camp trek is 17 days on which we should walk 12 days. The walking day is prolonged to make your trekking comfortable. The trekking starts from Lukla and continues to Phakding, Namche, Syangboche, Debuche, Tengboche, Dingboche and rest in Dingboche. The trekking continues to Lobuche, Gorekshep, Pheriche, Debuche, Manjo and completes in Lukla. The extended days include Kathmandu day tour and rest day in Kathmandu as an extra service to budget ebc trek. 

Conclusion

Everest base camp budget trek and Everest base camp luxury trek differs in accommodation, duration and budget. Both of these trekking includes similar trekking route but differs in particular monetary services.
