Kathmandu to Ramechhap Route After Flood 2024

The heavy rainfall in Nepal in last week of September 2024 has cause huge loss of life and property throughout the country. The mountain trekking routes are less effected by flood and landslide. Unfortunately, the road connecting to Ramechhap airport from Kathmandu is completely damaged. There is no option of using alternative route to Ramechhap. Thus, Kathmandu to Ramechhap route after flood 2024 is planned as following:

We could reach Manthali airport, Ramechhap, within four hours from Kathmandu before flood 2024. The poorly damaged bridge and road could not be constructed soon, thus the tourism sector is planning to use the alternative route. 

Kathmandu to Charikot road is fine and we can reach Charikot within four and a half hours. After having rest/nightstay in Charikot, we can leave for Manthali airport, which takes around two and a half hour. After reaching Ramechhap airport, we can reach Lukla within 20 minutes via flight.

Flood 2024 in Nepal has indirectly affected the tourism sector. The trekking routes in Nepal are being reconstructed day by day. Millions of trekkers are enjoying the mountain view under the clear sky after the uncertain monsoon from Bay of Bagal and mediterranean sea. Therefore, if you have booked trekking in Nepal then you can join the trek without hegitation. The trekking route of Everest base camp trek, Annapurna base camp trek, Manaslu circuit trek, Annapurna circuit trek, Langtang valley trek and other trekking in Nepal are perfect. The alternative route from Kathmandu to Ramechhap has been planned to resume Lukla flight from Manthali. We can easily do Everest base camp trek after flood 2024. Other road connecting to trekking route are renovated and resumed. Thus, it is good news for all trekkers who have planned a trek to Nepal. There are no more issues regarding to transportation from Kathmandu to Ramechhap, and Pokhara connecting EBC trek and annapurna region, respectively.
