Nepal trekking seasons are spring and autumn. Almost all the trekking destination gives the best view during these seasons. Nepal is a beautiful country having thousands of trekking destinations in its small area of 147181sq km. possible treks and the best time to trek in Nepal are described below.
Spring is the season of blooming flowers and represents the best Nepal trekking season. At the end of winter, the dried plants start decorating themselves. The forest blooms and gives amazing views of freshness. The new buds not only decorate themselves but it makes our trekking trial wonderful which all the trekkers enjoy throughout the trek. The possible trek in the spring season are listed below
March is the best month of Nepal trekking season. From beginning to the end of March the trekking trials remain busy. Early March remains colder but you can get the best view and snow-covered landscape at high altitudes. It will be riskier to do a high-altitude trek such as three passes trek, Gokyo Lake trek in Early March. It will be better to do these treks in late March.
April is the king of Nepal trekking season. You can do trekking in any part of Nepal throughout the month of April. Pleasant weather, moderate temperature, clear sky, and the best view of the mountain make your trekking blissful during April.
Early May is good Nepal trekking season but late May can be troublesome due to rain. As the weather is uncertain but late May does not give a good trekking experience if you have to face rainfall. Sometimes you can get the best view even in late May but sometime you may have to face heavy rainfall.
The summer season remains wet in Nepal due to monsoon rain. Summer is also considered the best Nepal trekking season for dry regions of Nepal where no rainfall occurs throughout the year. You can trek in Manang, Mustang, and Dolpo in the summer season.
You can do trekking in Mustang and Dolpo region during June. Trekking in June will be challenging in the Everest region, Manaslu region, and Anaapurna region.
July remains totally rainy in Nepal. You can only trek in the Dry regions of Nepal during July. The best trekking in July are:
August is favorable for different trekking in Nepal. Less rainfall occurs and you can do all trekking from Late August. It is the last month of summer besides the rainy days you can get a clear view and pleasant weather during August.
Autumn is considered one of the best Nepal trekking seasons. With the end of the summer season trekking resumes in Nepal Himalaya. Sometimes we may face rainfall but it continues for a short time. You can do trekking in all popular destinations during the autumn season.
September is the best month of Nepal trekking season. You can choose any of your best trekking destinations during September. You can trek in Annapurna region trekking routes, Everest region trekking routes, Langtang trekking routes, Dhaulagiri trekking routes, and Manaslu trekking routes. You can see the best weather conditions throughout the country.
October is a peak month of Nepal trekking season. You can do all the treks and expeditions possible in Nepal. You can explore the greatest festival of Nepal i.e. Dashain and Tihar along with trekking in October. Blooming flowers and ripen fruits in forest trials add beauty to the place during October.
Cold weather starts at the end of November. So trekking in early November will be better than trekking in Late November. You can go to every trekking trail in Nepal in November. In the highlands, you may face snowfall in November.
Winter remains colder in the Himalayan region but also you can do trekking in some lowlands of Nepal. Winter trek remains amazing with the snow-covered landscape.
Trekking in December is most favorable in the Annapurna region. You can also do the Everest base camp trek in December but it will be more challenging to complete the trek.
January is the coldest month of Nepal trekking season. Even if it is the coldest month you can have warmer days in Jan. There are different destinations to enjoy in January. Some of them are listed below:
February is less likely for trekking. It is not possible to trek at a high altitude. You can do short treks near Pokhara. Annapurna region trekking routes also remain in good condition for trekking.
