The Everest base camp trek is a moderate trek in the Khumbu region. It has challenging weather conditions and an EBC elevation of 5364m. One question always hits our mind, who can do the Everest Base camp trek? Mentally and physically fit people above 10 years to 75 years old people of the whole world can do the EBC trek. Beyond this limitation, we have recorded 5 years child completing EBC trek successfully this year.

 

Prisha Lokesh Nikajoo is 5 years old baby girl from Mumbai India who attempt the Everest Base Camp trek from Mission Summit treks on May 24, 2023. Ms. Nikajoo, her father Lokesh Nikajoo, and her guide reach Everest Base camp on 01 st June 23. Being   5 years little baby, she treks on EBC trekking route much more easily creating a challenge for adults. Neither does she feel weakness nor become tired, her stamina is an example to all trekkers who want to do the Everest base camp trek.

Prisha Lokesh Nikajoo – The Youngest Indian to complete the EBC trek!!

Prisha Lokesh Nikajoo Stunned the world by reaching at World’s Highest Mountain Mt. Everest base camp at the tender age of 5 Years old. She is the Youngest Indian Girl from Mumbai, Maharashtra to reach the Everest base camp at the altitude of 5364 Meters / 17598 feet.

Strong belief, determination, and mountaineering passion made her trek approx. 130 km in 12 days. She is the youngest and fastest girl to reach the Everest base camp in the record time of 9 days by any girl in her age group.

She landed in Lukla (Nepal) and started the trek on 24th May along with her father Lokesh Nikajoo and guide Nil Kumar Magar. They reached the Everest base camp on 01st June 2023 Proudly holding Indian Flag and returned to Lukla (Nepal) on 4th June 23. It was an extremely difficult and high-altitude trek where many trekkers experience difficulty in breathing, headaches, and Acute mountain sickness. Despite these difficulties, Prisha did EBC trek as a strong & brave girl overcoming any such difficulties.

How Prisha Lokesh Nikajoo did EBC trek preparaton?

Prisha Lokesh Nikajoo is a 5-year-old girl, her family supports Her in the EBC trek preparation and EBC hiking.  Her father Lokesh Nikajoo & mother Seema Lokesh Nikajoo trained her for this difficult high-altitude trek. Before heading to this trek she used to walk every day 5 – 6 miles, aerobics, climbing stairs of her apartment, and climbing wall at her garden area.

The family Stays at Lodha Palava City, Lakeshore Greens, Thane, Mumbai and Prisha likes swimming, Karate, and playing Table tennis. She is also a White belt in Karate and practicing it.

Her father was the driving force behind her as her father Lokesh Nikajoo is a Mountaineer and alumni of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering & Allied Sports, Manali.

Prisha has a dream to climb many more peaks in the Himalayas, Dhaulagiri region, and also climb Mt. Everest on her wish list. Her father urges Fraternities in the Mountaineering & Education field to come forward to help her to shape her career and also expects Govt of Maharashtra &, the Govt of India to support and recognize her talent, She is the inspiration for all the Young girls.

Prisha is a young mountaineer who started trekking at the age of two. She climbed many forts of Maharashtra as Singhgad, Lohgad, Visapur, Kalsubai, Karnala, Sondai, Kothaligad, Irshalgad, Prabalmachi, Kalavanthin, Shivneri, Raigad Fort mention a few. She is a trekking enthusiast and previously also she climbed the Highest Peak in Maharashtra State at the age of three.
