After your arrival in Tribhuvan international airport, our company member will welcome you and drop you to hotel. In the evening your guide will give briefing of the trek and you will have welcome dinner with company members.
After having breakfast, we will start Kathmandu day tour. Visiting world heritage sites of Kathmandu valley: Shyambhunath, Bouddhanath, Pashupatinath, Kathmandu durbar square and return to Hotel. You can do last minute shopping in Thamel in the evening.
We will take fight to Suketar also known as Taplejung airport from Kathmandu. After landing in Taplejung we will start our trek towards Mitlung. Passing small villages, forest and agricuitural land we will reach on the bank of Tamor river and then to Mitlung. We will descend 1499m down after walking 5 hours from Suketar airport.
After having breakfast in Mitlung we will start our trekking through Limbu and Tamang villages.. The traditional houses and local people of Sinwa, Tawa, and Porke villages adds attraction to our Kanchenjunga trekking route. Passing through disastrous hills and river named Tiwa we will reach Chiruwa for night stay.
After having breakfast in Chiruwa we will trek through Taplethok, Tamewa, Hellok and Lelep villages. The trial takes us to bank of Tamor river, Simbuwa Khola, Ghunsa khola valley and finally to Sekathum. We will trek on uphills downhills, narrow valley and on the bank of rivers throughout the day. The wonderful view of Himalayan range elcome us in Sekathum.
Trekking begins after enjoying the Tibetan breakfast in Sekathum. We will follow the downhill towards Ghunsa Khola and continue to up hills following the bank of river. Crossing different wooden and suspension bridges and enjoying the view of changing landscape Kanchenjunga region we will reach Amjilosa village.
The forest trail decorated with colorful Rhododendrons begins after leaving Amjilosa village. The diversified plants and creeping of birds continue until we pass through the forest. The amazing waterfall far from the trial gives the best scenery for photography. We will enjoy the scenery and continue our uphills and downhill trial and reach the Gyabla village for night stay.
After having breakfast in Gyabla we will trek towards Kyapra village and then ascend to the meadow on the bank of river. Kanchenjunga base camp trekking route continues to uphills and down hills with crossing river as per need. Local development structures such as wooden houses, micro hydropower station, school and healthpost passes behind us until reaching Ghunsa.
To adjust our body with changing climatic condition we will take rest in Ghunsa as acclimatization day. After breakfast we will do short hiking and reach the ancient Tibetan village with wooden houses, monasteries enriched in Buddhist culture and tradition. Ascending and descending trial competes our short hiking of the day with amazing view of surrounding.
Today we will ascend to 4050m elevation following the forest path on the Southern face of Ghunsa Khola. The mani walls and Chorten passes on the trial adding energy in us. The steep sloves and walk over moraines takes us to Khangpachen in around 5 hours of walk.
After having breakfast in Khambachen we will start our trekking. The trial takes us to campsite of Lhonak with amazing view of Wegde peak/Chang himal(6750m), Mera peak (6476m), Nepal peak (7177m) and Gimmigela Chuli/twins peak (7350m). Crossing the North west of Kanchenjunga glacier and small stone houses we will reach Lhonak.
Today is the resting day. We will not walk further in the new destination rather we will do a short hike to Pangpema which is the northern Kanchenjunga Base Camp in 5143meter above sea level. Total four hours of hiking on the Kanchenjunga base camp trekking route makes our good day. The entire day smiles with the panoramic view of tent peak/Tharpu Chuli (5663m) and surrounding mountains bordered with India and Tibet
Leaving Lhonak behind us we will walk following the trial towards Ghunsa. Simply we will return back to Ghunsa passing Khambachen, Kanchenjunga glacier, Kumbhakarna glacier enjoying the snowcapped mountain peaks around us.
After having breakfast in Ghunsa we will trek towards Sele La high camp also known as Sele La pass. The ascending trial to Sele La pass is adventurous over the rocky trial and wonderful scenery of Nepal Himalaya.
We will wake up early in the morning and trek towards Mirgin La pass for sunrise view. Today’s journey will more adventurous and difficult as you have to trek through three passes: Mirgin_La pass (4480m), Sinion La pass (4440m), Sinelapche Bhanjyang (4646m) and reach Cheram for night stay.
After having breakfast in Tserum/Cherum we will start the walk on the forest trial. Passing rhododendron and pine trees, flowing stream we will reach Pasture/ yak kharka of Yalung. We will visit Decherol monastery, an ancient monument of Yalung. Walking through forest, moraines and enjoying the view of Kabrus, Rathong and Kokthang lakes we will reach Ramche. The diversified plants, Himalayan animals like blue sheep, yaks and birds can be seen on the way to Ramche.
On this 17th day of Kanchenjunga base camp trek we will explore Yalung base camp, glacial moraines, challenging rocky path and reach Oktang. The panaromic view of Kanchenjunga peak (8586m), Jannu peak (7720m) and other ranges from Oktang will make the day wonderful. After spending an hours in Oktang we will return to Cheram through Anda Phedi. We can view the herds over grassy slopes while returning to Tserum/Cherum.
We will leave Cherum and decend to Tortong via forest trial decorated with rhododendrons and bushes. Passing streams, chorten, monasteries, small lakes and Amji khola we will reach Lasiya Bhanjyang (3310m).
After having breakfast in Lasiya Bhanjyang we will descend to Dhupi Bhanjyang (2620m) through the forest. Passing the Dubi pass and wakling downward for 2-3 hours we will reach traditional village called Yamphudim (2080m). We can see ethnic communities like Sherpa, Rai, Limbu and Gurung living in the same village sharing their culture and tradition.
Leaving Yamphudim behind us we will descend down to Kabeli river, cross wooden bridge and reach Mamanke village. Taking rest in the village we will walk towards Phumphe danda passing susupension bridge and streams. The Phumphe village in the hilltop gives amazing view of surrounding nature.
After having breakfast in Yamphudim village we will descend to Kheswa village through the bank of Kabeli River. Tall trees on the trial along with burble of river and peak around us makes the trekking more joyful.
We will pass the forest, small settlements and descend from Pangpang then ascend to Phundrawa. After taking an hour of rest we will descend to Lalikharka for night stay.
The last walking day of Kanchenjunga base camp trek takes you to Suketar in 3 hours of walk. We will pass the beautiful Lalikharka, terrace farming, forest and pasture to reach Suketar/Taplejung.
Depending on the flight time we will go to airport and fly back to Kathmandu from Suketar airport.
You will take rest and do your shopping in Thamel bazzar on the second last day of your trip. In the evening you can have farewell dinner with company members.
Depending on your flight time our company member will drop you to airport for your departure from Nepal. In this way your Kanchejunga base camp trek completes with us.

The Kanchenjunga base camp trek is a 26-day trekking in far eastern Nepal. Kanchenjunga base camp borders to Sikkim, India. You will trek for 22 days on the Kanchenjunga trekking route. The trekking begins on the third day of your arrival. If you don’t want sightseeing in Kathmandu then we can start trekking in 2nd day of your arrival in Nepal. You can customize the trek after sharing your query with us. We can reduce 2 days before and after trekking in Kathmandu and make 24 days of trekking in your interest.
You should take a 1 month visa either at Tribhuvan International Airport or in your nearby Nepal embassy. The trek cannot be completed in less than 24 days, so you need a 1-month visa.
We will use a private car for pick-up and drop-off to and from the airport. If you do Kathmandu day tour, then you will be using a private car. Kathmandu to and from Suketar in flight. The entire trek after reaching Suketar will be on foot.
You will get a standard hotel in Kathmandu. The tea houses with clean rooms will be available. In the trekking region. Almost all tea houses on the Kanchenjunga trekking route are normal. The bathrooms and restrooms will be outside of the bedroom.
The Kanchenjunga trekking package provides three meals during the trekking period. You will get tea/coffee, curry, bread items, egg items, and porridge for breakfast. During lunch and dinner, you can choose food from the menu depending on your group size. You can get momo, chowmein, noodles, nepali thali (rice, lentils, curry, papad, pickles), pizza, porridge, macroni, and other local food at lunch and dinner.
You should carry power bank with you. Charging facility is not available in all tea houses. In remote regions, you can’t charge your phone and camera. In low altitude and developed places, you can charge your gadget in dining hall.
Autumn and spring seasons are the best time for trekking in Kanchenjunga base camp. The pleasant weather, and moderate temperature during the best time make your trekking good. You should choose the months of March, April, May, September, October, and November as the best time for trekking in Kanchenjunga.
Altitude sickness is a kind of illness that is caused by ascent to high altitudes. The symptoms will occur within 6 to 24 hours of achieving a high altitude. Altitude sickness is fatal and can result in death if not treated in time. You need to stay alert to any of the symptoms that occur.

If you see no improvement in your health within 48 hours, you will have to be immediately deported to the city for medical support.
There is no way to train your body prior to trekking so as to adapt to the high altitude. Some ways in which you can prevent it are as follows:
You may face emergencies, health issues, and, natural calamities and have to return before the estimated time. In such a situation, you require Heli.. The cost of such deportation is covered by travel insurance that needs to be purchased before you start the trek.
