Manaslu Circuit Trek is the treasure of the Gorkha district, central region, Nepal. It is a new trekking route permitted by the Government of Nepal in 1992 AD. The serene natural beauty conserved under both Hindu and Buddhist cultures has made the Manaslu trek popular among trekkers. It is a perfect trek for those who love extreme peace.
The Manaslu route begins from Soti Khola, covering the Kathmandu-Gorkha distance of 76 km. The trail takes you to the bank of the deepest and longest river, George Budi Gandaki. You can enjoy the sub-tropical and alpine forest with blooming rhododendron, the tallest pine, cedar birch, and juniper. We will trek along the raised landscape from the lower elevation of Soti Khola (720 m) to the high, cold, and challenging route of Larkya La at 5152 m (17000 ft). It is definitely an adventurous trek, covering the Manaslu conservation elevation between 720 m and 5152 m. The trek offer panoramic view of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Ngadi Chuli, Himalchuli, Bouddha Himal, Annapurna range, and Siring ranges from different locations of the Manaslu trail is amazing.
Daily hiking on the Manaslu Circuit starts in the bumpy town of Sotikhola, 13.3 kilometers from Arughat. We will trek uphill along the powerful waterway, the Budigandaki, and reach Machhakhola. The trail continues up to the snow-capped vegetation and the wonderful landscape of Jagat. We can enjoy more Buddhism-affected Gurung culture. As we travel ahead, we can look up at the beautiful mountains in the villages of Sho, Lho, and Sama. The trekking route is more exciting before reaching Sama Gaon. You can enjoy the beautiful monasteries, temples, caves, sparkling lakes, and mind-blowing natural scenery on the trekking trail to Sama Gaon.
The highest elevation of the Manaslu circuit trek is Larkya La Pass, which joins Budhi Gandaki and Marshyangdi Valley. We can have an amazing view of Gandaki and Marshyangdi from Larkye La Pass. Trekking continues to the small settlements of Bimtang, Tilije, and Thonje villages, where we can enjoy the Tibetan, Gurung, and Tamang cultures. We will enter the Annapurna conservation area at the ending point of the trek. After passing Dharapani and Besisahar, we will drive back to Kathmandu.

Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu (1400m, 4600 ft), is the junction where we will meet for the Manaslu circuit trek. As you land in Nepal, our company member will welcome you, then drop you off at the hotel. You will have a welcome dinner in a cultural restaurant with company members, where you will meet your guide and have a briefing on the trek as well. The night stay will be in a luxurious hotel in Thamel.
The capital city of Nepal is home to numerous holy places, parks, and hiking trails. We will choose some of the of the most special places (cultural heritage) rich in all cultural, religious, and historical values that you should not miss, after coming to Kathmandu for sightseeing. First, we will go to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, an ancient historical palace, then to Shyambunath, the monkey temple; Bouddhanath, the peace retainer; and, if possible, Pashupatinath, the greatest holy place of Hinduism. If we get more time, then we will visit other places as well. Depending on your interest and time management, we will try to include more places.
Today, we will leave Kathmandu and setup on jeep for long drive towards Soti Khola (720m/2,362ft) via Arughat. The view of rular communities, market, terraces from high hills to bottom of river, shorea robusta (sal) forest and flowing river will draw your attention. We will cover Kathmadu to Soti Khola distance of 137.9 Km in 8 hours.
The burble of Soti Khola, peaceful mountainous surrounding influence us for epic journey towards Manaslu circuit. The path follows terrace farmlands, forest and bank of Budi Gandaki. We will climb the rocky trial of Khursane, pass tropical water falls, Gurung village of Labubesi and cross suspension bridge. Walking sometime on the shore of Budi - Gandai and sometime on the rocks, we will reach beautiful village of Machhakhola for night stay.
Our walk begins from Machha khola following the gorge of Budi Gandaki. Walking on the narrow trial with uphills and downhills we will reach Khorlabeshi after crossing the Tharo Khola. Following the stone steps for 4 hours on downhills and uphills we will reach Thado Bharyang. We can enjoy a clear view of Gurung village, Langur monkeys, mixed forest and diverse animal life closely.
Finally, after crossing west bank of Budhi Gandaki and climbing uphills for half hour, we will reach Jagat. Night stay will be in teahouse of jagat where you will enjoy homemade food and Gurung culture.
After having breakfast, we will start walking uphill over rocky path towards Salleri, then downhills towards Sirdibas. Various landscape, forest with blooming rhododendron, beautiful cultural villages without insense of developed infrastructure really takes you to new world you have ever seen.
Our trial continues to Valley of Ghatta Khola River, long suspension bridge in Philim, a large Gurung village, Ekle Bhatti and bamboo forest. We will enjoy the wonderful scenery of millet field, grassy slopes, cross budi Gandaki, and Deng Khola River. Almost after 6-7 hrs of walk we will reach Deng valley.
Today trial will be the most significant regarding to cultural prospective. We will cross Budi Gandaki River via suspension bridge and climb uphill towards forest and valley. The alpine vegetation, villages overloaded with ethnic culture and white Himalaya of Manaslu range as hanging ice attracts a lot.
We will follow the route via Pork rather than another alternative route. The view of Siring himal on the roof of villages, crossing river-The Budi Gandaki, passing different gumba makes our journey more adventurous. We will walk in dense forest of Manaslu conservation area leading to narrow George and until the forest ends. Finally we will stop our walk as we reach Namrung after forest trial.
We will start our walk from Namrung towards Sama Gaon. Enjoying the wonderful view of Siring, Gadesh Himal, and Himal Chuli on the south we will reach Lihi village. The terrace landscape with different vegetation, gumbas and stupas are additional source of beauty in the village. Then we will walk downhill to the valley of Simnang and Ganesh himal.
Our trial continues to Sho, Lho and Shyala villages’ repectively where we will enjoy the local life, ethnic culture. We will have mind blowing view of Mt Manaslu, Himal chuli, Ngadi Chuli, Ganesh and glaciers of Manaslu range from the trial . Finally we will reach Sama Gaun village Nepal after 7 hours walk covering Namrung to Sama Gaon distance of 18 Km.
Today we will not proceed ahead. To acclimatize ourselves, we will have a rest day in Samagaon. Depending on your choice, you can sleep, relax, and visit the village during the day..
If you are interested, then we can have a side trip to Manaslu base camp (MBC) or Birendra lake which takes around 6-7 hours to go and return back in Samagaon for a night stay.
From today we will return back towards Besisahar following route to Samdo, Dharmasala, Bhimthang and Tilije. We will walk downhills towards Budi Gandaki river and cross suspension bridge. Passing different maniwalls, birch and juniper forest of Kermo Kharka we will reach village Samdo.
We will leave Sambo and walk towards Tibetan market also known as Larke Bazzar then downhill to Budi Gandaki River. As previous days today also we will cross wooden bridge, view snowcapped mountains and many traditional monasteries. While we cross streams on the way we will see Larkya glacier as well. After 4-5 hours of walk we will reach Dharamsala which is also known as Larke Phedi. Night stay will be on tea house of Dharamsala.
Day 12 is quite challenging day because of hard path where we will cross many rustic villages. A clear view of snowcapped mountains and glaciers, beautiful valley, dense forest with variety of plants and animals make our journey energetic.
The larkya Glacier valley with mind blowing view of Cho Danda and larkya Peak will appear after short walk on uphill. We will walk on moraines nearby glaciers and enjoy with view of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal and the massive Annapurna II. After 8-9 hours of walk from Dharamsala, we will reach Bhimthang for night stay.
With the beautiful scenery of Mount Manaslu, Lamjung Himal, Himlung Himal, and Choe Himal, we will start our walk towards Tilije from Bimthang. After crossing the suspension bridge of the Dudh Khola River, we will walk through a forest with blooming rhododendrons, then towards Karche Valley, where we will see cultivation on high elevation. We will also walk on the river bank, pass the Gho village, and pass several uphills and downhills of the Manaslu circuit.
Finally, we will reach Tilije village after walking 5,6 hour walk from Bhimthang for night stay.
Day fourteen of Manaslu circuit trek is the last day of long hour walk. We will start walking downhill as we leave Tilije village. The stone paved path, suspension bridge over Dudh Koshi River, mani walls and uphills through stupa shaped arch will drag us to beautiful village Thonje. After Thonje village we will pass police checkpoint, Dharapani and exit from Manaslu Conservation area. After onward we will enter Annapurna conservation area, step on downhill and cross Marshyangdi River via suspension bridge.
As we cross bridge over Marshyangdi River, we will walk nearby several mani walls and finally reach the village Tal. The large water fall on the roof of village tal will become our point of attraction before night stay on tea house of village tal.
Today we will have travel on jeep. After breakfast in tal village we will travel to Besi Sahar and have lunch there. The manaslu circuit remains back to us. The long journey on remote and beautiful places of Manaslu region will remain in our memory and gadgets. We will take rest as we arrive to Beshi sahar, enjoy meal, and dinner and have night stay on tea house of Beshi Sahar.
Finally, we will say goodbye to Besisahar, the last trip location of the Manaslu trek. We will travel via tourist bus for around 5 hours to reach Kathmandu. The amazing landscape, beautiful river, and snowcapped mountains will give us farewell and remain behind us as we move ahead on the bus to reach Kathmandu.With a beautiful memory of the Manaslu circuit trek, we will come back to Kathmandu and stay in a luxurious hotel, have the best food, and sleep. You will have farewell dinner from company side on this last night of your trip.
You will leave Nepal from Tribhuvan International Airport. One of our company member will drop you to TIA and be with you until your flight. The good time of our journey will always be with us. Even though you depart from Nepal, the memory of the journey will be reflecting on our eyes forever.

For permit you need to provide us your original passport for a day because we have to show it in immigration office and have to make the Annapurna conservation area project (ACAP) permit and Manaslu conservation area project (MCAP) permit. For permit we need 2 passport size photos as well.
You can book the trek by applying inquiry from company site. Also you have to fill up asked information and should certain amount in advance like 10%-20% of whole trip cost. So we can arrange everything required for trek before you arrive Nepal.
Yes you have to inform, Because we have to include Tsum Valley in permit and have to pay more fee. Because in manaslu region they charge us on daily basis. So if you want the Tsum valley, please tell us in advance, cause after issue the permit you are not able to change anything. And permit cost is not refundable. Therefore, if want to visit Tsum valley, please let us know in advance so that we can make permit including both place.
Complete mental and physical fitness is required for Manaslu trek. For complete fitness you have to do regular jogging for minimum 2 months, you should practice nearly 4-5 Km running daily around 1 month before your trek. Also, healthy diet and physical checkup become helpful to maintain your fitness level. Manaslu Trek is a Grade B or a moderately difficult trekking route. So any fit person can do this trek, even if you do not have any previous experience. You should be aware of what to expect and mentally prepare for it. Then, as long as you will to, you can.

Among 17 days, three will be in Kathmandu, which includes arrival day, Kathmandu day tour on second day and last night after returning from the trek. You will spend 14 days on trek. Customizing the trip is upon you. If you want to spend more time in trekking area, then we can visit more places as well. If you want to complete trek earlier, then we can directly come to Kathmandu from Beshisahar without a night stay, but it will be quite difficult. The choice will be yours.

The luxurious hotel for a night's stay will be in Kathmandu only. In the Manaslu region, you will have a clean room in a tea house for a night. The room may not have an attached bathroom but the facility restroom will be nearby. You have to pay extra for charging gadgets.
Even if the place is remote, you will get internet, and phone signal in most of the place. You can remain in contact with your friend and family throughout the trek. There are 1,2 places where you will not be able to contact with your relatives due to the absence of wifi and phone signal.

You can easily get a visit visa at Tribhuvan international airport, Kathmandu. Manaslu is listed as a restricted region of Nepal. A trekking permit is compulsory to access this route. Annapurna conservation area project (ACAP) permit and Manaslu conservation area project (MCAP) permit are required and you should give 2 passport-size photos for filling out each permit form. Solo trekkers are not allowed for the Manaslu trek. Thus, a minimum group size of two people is necessary.
Spring( March April and May) and autumn (September October and November) are considered the best time for the Manaslu circuit trek. Rainless days, moderate temperature, blooming and fruiting of vegetation add to the natural beauty and make our trek more than the best. We don’t choose the winter and summer seasons for the trek due to the extreme weather condition of winter and sloppy path, risk of leech, and difficulties in walking with rain cover in summer.

Tourist buses, taxis, and jeeps will be our means of transportation to reach the trekking region and return to Kathmandu.
As you arrive in Nepal, our private taxi will be there to pick up and drop you off at the hotel. For the Kathmandu day tour, we will use a private taxi. Then we will use a tourist bus to reach Soti Khola and return to Kathmandu from Besi Sahar after completing the trek. Also, a jeep will be used to travel from Tal village to Beshi Sahar.
Even though the trekking region comprises off-roads, uphills and downhills, you will be secure. Our guide will be with you, there will be fixed plan of walking, rest and night stay. You will have best trek in friendly environment.
Taking hard drinks is strictly prohibited except in Kathmandu. For good health throughout the trek, you are not allowed to take hard drinks. But while you come back to Kathmandu after the trek, you can have a drink in a limited amount.
Mineral water will be available throughout the trek. You will also be provided with hot water in tea houses according to your demand. Also, you can fill your bottle with hot water for drinking in your walk.
The Manaslu circuit trek is considered a moderately difficult trek. You should cross many suspension bridges, wooden bridges, uphills, and downhills during your trek. There is high chance of altitude sickness as well. long walk on off-beaten path is like a challenging trek. You will gain a better experience of remote life. Also, this trek will be very supportive for having an EBC trek, which requires experience from a previous trek.
This is a kind of illness that is caused by ascent to high altitudes. The symptoms will occur within 6 to 24 hours of achieving a high altitude. Altitude sickness is fatal and can result in death if not treated in time. You need to stay alert to any of the symptoms that occur.
